Why is Western Water Park a must-visit attraction?

Picture yourself standing at the top of a 100-foot tower, heart pounding, the entire Mediterranean coastline stretched out before you. Now imagine hurtling down at near free-fall speed before splashing into a cool pool below. That's the Western Water Park experience, and that's just one of over 20 slides.

Situated in the sun-drenched resort of Magaluf on Mallorca's southwest coast, Western Water Park is adventure wrapped in water, sunshine, and non-stop thrills. The park divides into three immersive themed zones: Western Land, Indian Town, and El Paso, each brimming with character, color, and rides for every mood.

What really sets Western Water Park apart from other parks in Mallorca is its theming isn't superficial. It shapes the entire atmosphere of the park, from the architecture and décor to the entertainment. Come for the slides, stay for the show, and leave with memories that last long after the tan fades.

What to see at Western Water Park?

Adrenaline Fun

If speed and height make your pulse race, the Adrenaline Fun zone is your playground. This section houses the park's signature thrill rides, including The Beast, Tornado, Boomerang, Cola del Diablo, Tijuana Twins, El Látigo, and Crazy Horses, all designed to test your courage and send you home buzzing.

Family Fun

The Family Fun zone strikes the perfect balance between excitement and accessibility. Rides like Gran Cañón, Huracán, Tam Tam Splash, and Big Hole offer just enough thrill to satisfy older kids and adults while remaining enjoyable for the whole family to experience together.

Kidzworld

Not every moment needs to be a thrill. The Chill Out & Play zone invites you to slow down with the Wild River lazy ride, unwind at the Bath House hot tubs, cool off under Cascada waterfall, or play under the Chorros water jets, the ideal retreat on a hot Mallorcan afternoon.

Wave Pool

The wave pool is a crowd favorite for families and groups. Whether you wade in and let the waves carry you or simply float and soak in the sunshine, the wave pool offers a refreshing break between rides. Parents especially love this as a comfortable spot to relax.

The Diving Show

Three times daily, Western Water Park puts on one of Mallorca's most spectacular live performances. Professional divers deliver a breathtaking programme of synchronized diving, high-altitude dives, and fire dives, with a light-hearted comedy routine to kick things off. Arrive early to secure a good spot.

Brief History of Western Water Park

Western Water Park has been a cornerstone of Mallorca's holiday scene since 1987, when it first opened its gates under the name El Dorado. In those early years, the park operated primarily as an entertainment venue rather than a water park. It even featured a bird of prey show before management decided to relocate the birds to Marineland Mallorca in line with the park's evolving identity.

The transformation into a fully-fledged water park came in 2002, when an entirely new suite of water attractions, slides, and swimming pools was introduced. This reinvention proved enormously popular, as today the park welcomes between 3,000 and 4,000 visitors daily during peak season, drawing guests primarily from the UK, followed by local Mallorcan residents, Germany, Russia, and Italy.
